Versatility and an ultra compact design for micro linear actuators are essential for industry use cases with tight space constraints. Linear actuators often have a trade-off in performance capabilities and durability to achieve their ultra compact form factor. However, improving technologies have allowed for versatile micro linear actuators capable of handling outdoor use cases. In this product overview, we will be covering our recently released IP65 Micro Linear Actuator Model PA-MC1 specialized to handle all these requirements off the shelf while showcasing a few use case examples.

WHAT MAKES THE PA-MC1 SPECIAL?

Micro Linear Actuator

Check out what the new IP65 Micro Linear Actuators Model PA-MC1 can offer!

High Protection Materials and Ratings

Durable construction with the stainless steel stroke rod and a water-resistant IP65 ingress protection rating ensures high protection for the IP65 Micro Linear Actuator Model PA-MC1 to handle harsh environments. The standard models feature a current detection circuit that automatically halts the actuator at end-of-travel limits to help protect our PA-MC1 Micro Linear Actuators from over-extending or over-retracting past the intended travel positions.

Versatility In An Ultra Compact Design

PA-MC1 Micro Linear Actuator

The PA-MC1 Micro Linear Actuator offers the smallest dimensional footprint in our collection as our smallest linear actuator. Despite its ultra compact size, the IP65 Micro Linear Actuator Model PA-MC1 offers a large range of force options that can handle a dynamic force ranging from 8 lbs to 39 lbs and static force ranging from 8 lbs to 56 lbs. The PA-MC1 offers a stroke range from 0.5” to 8” off the shelf and travel speeds that can go up to 1.85 "/sec unloaded (8 lbs force option) for quite a fast traveling actuator given its low current draw and ultra compact size.

Compatibility Through Simple Operation

The standard IP65 Micro Linear Actuator Model PA-MC1 features a 2.54 mm 2-Pin Female Connector and operates at 12 VDC, simplifying installation and integration into existing systems. When fully loaded to its force rating, the low current draw of no more than 700 mA is also suitable for all the current ratings of our rocker switches and control boxes.

MOUNTING BRACKETS

Mounting bracket

Explore our collection of electric linear actuators, from micro to industrial capabilities!

The BRK-MC1 stainless steel mounting brackets are compatible with our IP65 Micro Linear Actuators Model PA-MC1, allowing for a simple installation process. The brackets are lightweight and offer versatile mounting options with the included 2x U-shaped brackets and 1x L-shaped brackets that work for either the front or rear mounting holes. Both styles of the mounted brackets allow 180 degrees of movement. For added convenience, there is also 1x 5-Pin Male Adapter included for ease of wiring the micro linear actuators. Please see our mounting brackets product page for more detailed information and specifications.

POTENTIOMETER POSITIONAL FEEDBACK OPTIONS

Positional feedback information

If you require the specifications of a PA-MC1 base model but with additional positional feedback, we also offer these through our custom ordered options. We offer potentiometer feedback options that can be used for controllers to read positional feedback information. Each of the custom ordered units will have a 2.54 mm 5-Pin Female Connector at the end of their cable.

The benefits of having positional feedback include the ability for controllers to be programmed with functions and code that allow for synchronization of multiple actuators, memory presets, and precision control. Our compatible control systems and controllers can be used with the PA-01 as long as they have suitable current ratings to handle the motor and compatible feedback.

Please note that the potentiometer models rely on the user to use the potentiometer position feedback to avoid hitting the extend and retract hard stops and do not come with overload protection or built-in limit switches. The potentiometer models support PWM compatibility, while standard models require 100% motor input.
